Event Type: Error

The current time on the member was not synchronized with the cluster controller. This might affect time-based operations on this member. The error code is %Status%%StatusMessage%.

Meaning: The current time on the member cannot be synchronized with the cluster controller. Either the cluster controller was not available or there was an error on the member.

Effect: The time and date on the member might be different than on the cluster controller. This might affect time-based operations on the member, such as monitoring status roll-up information being inaccurate. This does not affect other cluster members.

Possible Causes and Solutions

No permissions: The access permissions or network privileges have been changed on the member.

Cluster member not available: Either the member is not turned on or has been renamed or there is a network failure.

Also investigate:
  • Try to contact the member by typing ping <server name> at the command line.
  • Disk failure on the member.
  • Network failure.
  • Power failure.
