Links 2001: Cannot open course converter files (288208)

Links 2001, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:
Cannot open converter file:
drive:\path\file
name.cvt CAUSE This issue may occur if there is no course converter
available for that course.
This issue may also occur if .cvt files
are not located in the same folder as the converted executable file
Crx2crz.exe.RESOLUTIONTo resolve the second issue that is listed in the "Cause"
section, copy the .cvt files into the Convert folder:
- Insert the Microsoft Links 2001 Championship disc 1 into
your CD or DVD drive. Press and hold down the SHIFT key to prevent the
game from starting automatically.
- Double-click My Computer.
- Right-click your CD or DVD drive, and then click
Open.
- Right-click the Convert folder, and then click
Copy.
- Close all the windows.
- Right-click anywhere on your desktop, and then click
Paste. The copy process will start.
- Close the Convert folder. Copy the .cvt files into your Convert folder:
- Double-click the Convert folder on your
desktop.
- Double-click the CVT folder.
- Click Edit, and then click
Select All.
- Click Edit, and then click
Cut.
- Click the Back button to go back to
the Convert folder.
- Click Edit, and then click
Paste.
- Close the Convert folder.
For example, to convert a Microsoft Links 2000 course:
- Insert the Links 2000 disc 1 into your CD or
DVD drive.
- Double-click the Convert folder.
- Double-click the Crx2crz.exe file.
- Click From.
- Select the CD or DVD drive that contains the
courses.
- Double-click the CRH folder.
- Click the course that you want to convert, and then
click Open.
- Click Convert.
