OL2002: You Do Not Receive a Prompt to Save a New Message (287894)

SYMPTOMS

When you drag a file from your desktop to the Outlook Inbox and then close the new message, you do not receive a prompt to save the message with the attached file in Outlook 2002. However, if you open a new message and attach a file by using the Insert menu and then close the message, you do receive a prompt to save the new message.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, click Save on the File menu in the new message to save it in the Drafts folder.
