SYMPTOMS

When you enter the address information for a contact, and then click the Address button to parse the address, the state is included in the city information.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Microsoft Outlook does not parse the state information for a contact address correctly on bidirectional language operating systems.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, click the Address button, and then type the address information in the appropriate field.

MORE INFORMATION

This behavior occurs with bidirectional languages on Microsoft Windows 2000 with a corresponding language locale.
