SYMPTOMS

If you forward a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) message that contains script generated content and you use Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor, the new message does not display the script generated content in the message window.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, set Microsoft Outlook as your e-mail editor. To do this:
  1. Open Outlook.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click Mail Format.
  3. Click to clear the Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages check box.
  4. Click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem only affects the user that forwards the item when their e-mail format is HTML. The script generated content appears for the message recipient (as long as their security is set to allow Web scripts to run).
