OL2002: Offline Details of Your Address Book Are Not Added When You Change from No Details to Full Details and then Synchronize (287860)

SYMPTOMS

After you synchronize your address book to use offline and you try to open your Offline Address Book, the Full Details of your address book are not added.

This behavior also occurs in Microsoft Outlook 2000.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the default sychronization features in Outlook 2002 are set to download your address book offline only once per day. If you synchronize your address book without any details on one day, you must wait a full day to synchronize your address book again with Full Details.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior and force a syncronization of your updated address book, manually select to download the address book by clicking Send/Receive on theTools menu, and then clicking Download Address Book.
