SYMPTOMS

If you are working offline and synchronize your message while you have a rule that automatically runs a script, you may receive the following error message when you synchronize:
The message you specified could not be found.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the rule generates an error message when it contains a script that is executed while Outlook is offline.

WORKAROUND

Use one of the following methods to work around this behavior:
  • Connect to the Microsoft Exchange Server to get your messages. -or-

  • Take the script out of the rule.
