OL2002: The E-mail Display As Field Is Blank in the Contact View (287847)

SYMPTOMS

If you add the E-mail Display As field to the Phone List view (or other table views) in Contacts, information in the "E-mail Display As" field appears blank in this view.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the contact was created in an earlier version of Outlook that does not have the E-mail Display As field.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, re-enter the information in the E-mail Display As field by using the following steps:
  1. Select the text in the E-mail Display as field, and then click Copy on the Edit menu.
  2. Press the DELETE key.
  3. On the Edit menu, click Paste to place the information back into this field.
  4. Click Save and Close.
