OL2002: Outlook Stops Responding When You Import from an Open Local Hotmail PST File (287838)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to import from your Hotmail folders, Outlook may stop responding (hangs) with an "Item could not be found" error message.

This behavior occurs because an Outlook personal folders (.pst) file cannot be opened when you import from it.

To resolve this behavior, close the .pst file in Outlook before you try to import from it.
