OL2002: You Cannot Read Text in the On-Object User Interface When You Use High Contrast Black (287832)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Outlook 2002

This article was previously published under Q287832

SYMPTOMS

When you select High Contrast Black as a Microsoft Windows color scheme, the text is unreadable in the On-Object User Interface dialog boxes that appear when you hover your cursor on the details of a meeting in Outlook 2002.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the background of a dialog box becomes black when you select High Contrast Black as a Windows color scheme. Because the text is also black, the background color matches the text color and the text is not visible.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, do not use the High Contrast Black color scheme.
