CAUSE This behavior is caused by one of the following:
Outdated firmware.
Outdated InputSprockets.
The latest Apple firmware and InputSprockets are important for
providing optimal support of Microsoft products on Apple
systems. RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method
below. Updates for firmware and InputSprockets are available for
download at the following Web site: Update the InputSprockets by Installing GameSprockets- Connect to the Apple Software Downloads page.
- In Step 1, select Search Release Name and type gamesprockets in the
box.
- In Step 2 Language, select English-North American.
- In Step 3 Software Release Date, select All Available Updates.
- Click Search.
- On the Search Results page, click the release name that corresponds with the
English-North American language.
- On the GameSprockets Release page, click MacBinary to download and install the update.
To Install iMac Firmware Updates- Connect to the Apple Software Downloads page.
- In Step 1, select Search Release Name and type iMac Firmware updates in the
box.
- In Step 2 Language, select English-North American.
- In Step 3 Software Release Date, select All Available Updates.
- Click Search.
- On the Search Results page, click the Release Name that corresponds with the
English-North American language.
- On the iMac Firmware Updates Release page, click MacBinary to download and install the update.
