SYMPTOMS
The SQL Server Enterprise Manager reports a larger table size value as compared to running the sp_spaceused stored procedure against the same table.

WORKAROUND
To accurately determine the table size, Microsoft recommends that you run the sp_spaceused stored procedure.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in SQL Server 2000. This problem was first corrected in SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 1.
