OL2000: New Messages Do Not Line Wrap at Page Margins (287578)

SYMPTOMS

When you compose a new message in Rich Text Format (RTF), the message text does not wrap based on the page margins that you set. This occurs when you use Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because you have the Wrap to Window option enabled in Word.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, disable the Wrap to Window option. To do this:
  1. Start Outlook.
  2. On the File menu, point to New, and then click Mail Message.
  3. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the View tab.
  4. Under Outline and Normal Options, click to clear the Wrap to Window check box.
  5. Click OK.
  6. On the View menu, click to select Normal.
  7. Hold down the CONTROL key, and then click Close on the File menu.
