INFO: Application Center 2000 Does Not Support Transactional Replication (287508)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Application Center 2000

This article was previously published under Q287508

SUMMARY

The Application Center 2000 replication protocol is nontransactional.

If any resource in any application is successfully transferred and applied on a replication target server, the replication will be marked as "Success(Partial)" for that server in the lower pane of the Synchronizations window.

If all resources in all applications in a replication are successfully transferred and applied on a replication target server, then that server will show a "Success" status for the replication.

If the replications for all target servers show "Success" at the end of the entire replication, the replication will be marked as "Success" in the upper pane of the Synchronizations window.

Application Center 2000 does not attempt to roll back any resources that were successfully transferred and applied on any target server, no matter what the final state of the replication for that target server or any other target server involved in the replication is.
