ACC2002: Tooltips Are Incorrect in the Export XML Dialog Box (287461)

This article applies to a Microsoft Access database (.mdb) and to a Microsoft Access project (.adp).

SYMPTOMS

If you use the What's This Help feature (the question mark in the upper-right corner of a dialog box) in the Advanced Export XML dialog box, you may notice that the tooltips that are displayed do not seem to apply to the item that you clicked to get help on.

RESOLUTION

For more information about the options in the Advanced Export XML dialog box, click the Help button in the dialog box.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Open the sample database Northwind.mdb or the sample project NorthwindCS.adp.
  2. In the Database window, click Tables under Objects.
  3. Right-click the Customers table, and then click Export on the shortcut menu.
  4. Click the arrow in the Save as type box, click XML Documents in the list, and then click Export
  5. In the Export XML dialog box, click Advanced.
  6. Click the What's This button (the question mark in the upper-right corner of the dialog box).
  7. Click the Export Data or the Static Data option.
Note that the tooltip that is displayed does not apply to the option that you clicked to get help on.
