WD2000: Cannot Use Format Painter to Format More Than One Item at a Time (287396)

When you select an item (object or text) with formatting that you want to apply to several other items, you cannot paste the formatting to more than one item at a time. You must reselect the item with the formatting and click the Format Painter each time to apply the formatting to a new item.
RESOLUTION
The Format Painter copies the formatting from an item and applies it to a different item that you select. To use the Format Painter to copy the formatting to multiple selections, follow these steps:
- Click to select the item that contains the formatting that you want to copy.
- On the standard toolbar, double-click Format Painter, and then click to select each item that you want to apply the formatting to.
NOTE: Click Format Painter again when you finish, or press ESC to turn off the Format Painter.
