Error Message Occurs When You Enable a User for Wireless Mobility (286812)

When you use the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in to enable a user for wireless mobility, you may receive the following error message:
Appropriate rights to the user's Exchange mailbox could not be set. If you wish to enable wireless mailbox access for this user, verify that you have Exchange administrative privileges and try again. CAUSE
This issue can occur if the Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server information store is not running when you enable the user for wireless mobility.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, verify that the information store is running and that the public and private information stores that are assigned to this mailbox are mounted.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Mobile Information Server 2001 Version 1.0.
