This article was previously published under Q286367

SUMMARY

After you install the Microsoft Entourage Value-Add Scripts from the Microsoft MacTopia Office Extras Web site, both the Copy Contact script and the Open Contact script are missing in the Entourage Script menu.

MORE INFORMATION

Both the Copy Contact and the Open Contact scripts are AppleScript applets. Applets are not designed to execute in a program, and therefore do not appear on the Script menu. You can recompile the AppleScript applets so that they can execute in Entourage. To do this:
  1. Open the Apple Script Editor located in the AppleScript subfolder of the AppleExtras folder that is on your hard disk.
  2. On the File menu, click Open Script.
  3. In the Show box, click Applets.
  4. Locate the saved location of the applets, click the applet to be recompiled, and then click Open.
  5. Click File, and then click Save As.
  6. In the Format box, click Compiled Script, and then save it to the following path:

    <Hard Drive>:Documents:Microsoft User Data:Entourage Script Menu Items

  7. Open Entourage, and then click the Scripts menu. The compiled AppleScript is now on the menu.
