Internal Error 2737 When Installing Mobile Information Server on Windows NT 4.0 (286185)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to install Microsoft Mobile Information Server on a Windows NT 4.0-based server, you may receive the following error message:
Internal Error 2737.

_IsDomainAdmin@4

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Mobile Information Server must be installed on a Windows 2000-based server that is part of a domain. Windows NT 4.0 does not support Mobile Information Server, and therefore, you are unable to install the program on a computer that is running Windows NT 4.0.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
