SUMMARY

In Microsoft Outlook Mobile Manager, you have options that allow you to log information for troubleshooting purposes. These choices are available in the Support/Troubleshooting options page. This article describes how and why these options may be used.

MORE INFORMATION

After you start Outlook Mobile Manager and select the Support Troubleshooting options page, you see an error log that documents problems that may have occurred, or that are occurring with your device or when sending messages to it. You can refresh this error log to update the information displayed.

To the right of the error log display are options to Save and to Log all messages to a file. These choices are independent functions. The Save option saves the current Outlook Mobile Manager configuration state to a data file named Mommlog.txt. This data includes information on the selections that you made on the Options screens, and is useful for diagnosing a problem.

The Log all messages to a file option allows all messages, reminders, and so on that are sent to your mobile device to be logged verbatim for later review. This may be useful for tracking purposes or to review information sent to your device to decide which Intellishrink option you like best.
