XIMS: Messages May Be Moved to the Badmail Folder After You Apply Smtpsvc.dll 1877.58 Hotfix (286042)

After you apply the Smtpsvc.dll 1877.58 hotfix, messages with folded headers are moved to the Badmail folder and not processed for delivery. The following is an example of a folded header:
Received: from <server1> by <server2> with Microsoft SMTPSVC;
Thu, 11 Jan 2001 14:47:19 -0500
CAUSE
The search for headers is improperly stopped when a carriage return/line feed (CR/LF) is reached and the header is not checked to see if the next line is part of the same header.
RESOLUTIONA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes.
