To Run Phone Dialer on Windows XP

To run Phone Dialer, click Start, click Run, type dialer.exe, and then press ENTER.

To Add Phone Dialer to the Communications Menu

  1. Click Start, click My Computer, and then double-click the partition in which Windows XP is installed.
  2. Navigate to the following folder:

    Documents and Settings\All Users\Start\Programs\Accessories\Communications

  3. In the Communications folder, click File, click New, and then click Shortcut to start the Create Shortcut wizard.
  4. In the Type the location of the item box, type c:\program files\windows nt\dialer.exe.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In the Type a name for this shortcut box, type Phone Dialer.
  7. Click Finish.
