SYMPTOMS

On the Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server computer, if the decimal symbol is configured to be anything other than a period (.), you cannot configure or use the SMTP filter.
This symbol is based on the regional settings that are configurable on the Numbers tab in the Regional Options tool in Control Panel by specifying the character for the decimal symbol.

In some languages, the decimal symbol is a comma (,) by default. For example, the decimal symbol is a comma in German, French, Spanish, and Italian.

This problem can occur when ISA Server (the U.S. version) is used on systems on which the decimal symbol is set to be anything other than a period. This can happen in a localized operating system in which the decimal is usually a period but the user changes it to some other symbol (for example, a comma).
