PRJ2000: OLE DB Provider Cannot Load or Unload a Project in Microsoft Project Central (285697)
The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q285697 SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project Central, the Microsoft Project 2000 OLE DB provider may no longer be able to refresh a project that is already loaded, unload a project that is loaded, or timeout on the load of a project.
For example, assume you are viewing a Microsoft Project file on the View My Portfolio page. You know that a change was made recently to that Microsoft Project file which was successfully updated on the Web server, but you do not see the changes reflected on the View My Portfolio page.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the Microsoft Project 2000 OLE DB provider "leaks" registry handles each time a query is performed. After the maximum number of registry handles are used, you experience the symptoms.
RESOLUTION
