FP2002: Regional Settings for Date and Time Are Not Published with Webs (285648)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft FrontPage 2002

This article was previously published under Q285648

SYMPTOMS

When you view a web that you have published to a server, dates in the web do not use the calendar options that you specified on your local computer. For example, if you select "French (France)" as your locale in Regional Options, you see French month names in your local web. But when you publish the web to a server, the names of the month are in English (or some other language).

CAUSE

FrontPage uses the default Regional Options of the server. The calendar settings on your computer are not published with the web. This does not apply to short and long date formats, which are preserved when the web is published.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
