PPT2002: Overlapping, Misaligned, or Missing Bulleted Text in Web Preview or Web Presentation (285594)

SYMPTOMS

When you view a slide show in Web Preview in PowerPoint, or when you view a Web archive with a Web browser, you may see some of the following problems with bulleted text:
  • Text is not on the same line as the bullet.
  • Text from one line overlaps another line.
  • The line of text after a bullet is missing.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur when the bulleted text appears on the page with the custom animation Whip effect.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use a different custom animation for the text, such as Boomerang, Spiral In, or Fly In.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
