SYMPTOMS
When you assign a Microsoft ActiveX control like the Microsoft Forms 2.0 CommandButton to a layer and you change the Layer Properties to invisible, the ActiveX control may remain visible and continue to appear in the drawing.
In addition, the control may not be activated as expected with a mouse click.
RESOLUTION
To work around these issues, switch to Design mode and then back to Run mode after the layer visibility change is made.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATION
With normal shapes, you can add or remove the check mark in the Visible column of the Layer Properties dialog box and the shapes be hidden or unhidden. ActiveX controls may not follow the visible rules that are set in the Layer Properties dialog box until you switch to Design mode and then back to Run mode.
