When you draw a freeform or curve custom motion path, the vertices of the path do not snap to either a standard grid or a custom grid in Microsoft PowerPoint.

WORKAROUND

To force the Freeform and Curve tools to snap to grid, follow these steps:
  1. On the AutoShapes menu, point to Lines, and then click the Freeform drawing tool.
  2. Draw a small freeform shape.
  3. Press DELETE to delete the shape that you created.
You can now draw a freeform or curved path that snaps to grid.
