PPT2002: Change Color Effects Do Not Work with Embossed Text (285554)

SYMPTOMS

If you apply the Emboss property to a font, and then add any custom animation effect that changes the text color, the color does not change when you view your animation.

NOTE: If you view your presentation as a Web page, the Emboss property is not supported, so custom animation effects that change text color work properly.

CAUSE

PowerPoint cannot change the color of an embossed font in Slide Show mode. The color of the embossed font depends on the color of the slide background, and therefore, it cannot be changed by an animation effect.
