The grid and guides features help you line up text and objects while creating PowerPoint presentations. This article tells you how to use keyboard shortcuts to quickly turn these features off and on. The keyboard shortcut CTRL+G was used in PowerPoint 2000 and PowerPoint 97 to show or hide the guides, but is different in PowerPoint 2002.
