PPT2002: Presenter Tools Thumbnail View Does Not Automatically Scroll So that the Current Slide Is Always in View (285505)

SYMPTOMS

When you set up a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation to run on a second monitor, the presentation contains more than 8 slides, and you set up the slide show to begin using slide number 8 (or higher), the slide thumbnails in Presenter view do not automatically scroll so that the current slide is in view.

However, if you scroll down though the thumbnail list in Presenter view, the thumbnail for the current slide is correctly highlighted and the presentation is displayed correctly.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, scroll down though the thumbnail list in Presenter view until the correct slide is displayed.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
