The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2002
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2000
This article was previously published under Q285474 SYMPTOMS
When you view the Slide Transition dialog box in PowerPoint 2000, the Effect list may be blank instead of listing a transition effect or No Effect.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when both of the following conditions are true:
- The transition was set in PowerPoint 2002.
-and-
- The transition was one that is new in PowerPoint 2002.
As long as you do not change the transition from blank in PowerPoint 2000, the existing slide transition setting is saved. When the slide show is later viewed using PowerPoint 2002, the slide transition appears as expected.
