PUB2002: Background Is Not Visible When "Hide Pictures" Is Selected (285361)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Publisher, if you apply a background to your publication from the Background task pane, the background may not be visible as expected.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if Hide pictures is selected in the Picture Display dialog box.

RESOLUTION

To view the change to the background, follow these steps:
  1. On the View menu, click Pictures.
  2. In the Picture Display dialog box, click Detailed display or Fast resize and zoom, and then click OK.
The applied background is now visible in the publication.
