SUMMARY

This article describes the two ways that you can change or resize the drawing page in Microsoft Visio.

MORE INFORMATION

Method 1: Use the CTRL key and Mouse

  1. Open a drawing in Visio.
  2. Hold down CTRL and put your mouse pointer on the edge of the drawing page.

The mouse pointer changes to a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal double-arrow depending on which edge or corner you place the mouse pointer.
  3. Click and hold the mouse button in conjunction with the CTRL key, and resize the drawings page to the size that you want.

Method 2: Use the Page Setup Dialog Box

  1. Open a drawing in Visio.
  2. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
  3. In the Page Setup dialog box, click the Page Size tab.
  4. Click Custom Size, and then enter the page dimensions that you want.

The default units for the width and height (inches, millimeters, and so on) are based on the previous size setting. For example, if the previous size was 8.5 in. x 11 in., if you enter 12 x 12, Microsoft Visio sets the page size to 12 in. x 12 in.

Note For scaled drawing pages, the size shown is calculated using the scaled size and drawing scale, and shown in the appropriate units.
  5. Click OK.
