IntelliPoint: Mouse Pointer Movement Is Slow or Jerky in DirectX Programs (284957)

When you play a game or run a program that uses Microsoft DirectDraw or Microsoft Direct3D, you may experience jerky or delayed mouse pointer movements.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:
- The Pointer Shadow feature is turned on.
- You are using a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer.
- A video adapter that is not listed on the Windows 2000 Hardware Compatibility List is installed in your computer.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, turn off the Pointer Shadow feature:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Mouse.
- On the Pointers tab, click to clear the Enable pointer shadow check box.
- Click Apply, and then click OK.
