XADM: You Receive a c0075000 Error Message When You Install Exchange 2000 on a Cluster (284944)

SYMPTOMS

When you install Exchange 2000 on computer that is running the Cluster service, you may receive the following error message when you try to create the Exchange 2000 system attendant resource:
An unknown error has occurred.
Facility: Win32 ID no: c0075000
Microsoft Exchange Cluster Administrator Extension.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if the Cluster service account does not have the correct permissions for the Exchange organization.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, use the delegation control wizard in Exchange System Manager to give the cluster service account full administrative rights to the Exchange organization.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
