Internet Security and Acceleration Server Does Not Work If the Computer Is Moved from a Domain (284499)

SYMPTOMS

If the Enterprise version of Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server is installed on a computer, and the computer is moved from one domain to another, all ISA Server functionality ceases on that computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, remove, and then reinstall ISA Server after the computer is in the new domain.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

All computers in an ISA Server-based array must be in the same logical site in Active Directory. You cannot have array members in different sites.
