OL2002: New Message to Offline Address Book Contact Closes Without Any Prompt to Save Changes (284432)

SYMPTOMS

When you create and save a new contact in the offline Address Book, compose a message to that contact, and then close the message without sending it, no dialog box appears to prompt you to save the changes.

This behavior does not occur when you create a new contact in the global address list.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
