OL2002: Cannot Copy and Paste Picture from HTML Message to RTF Message (284417)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to copy and paste a picture from a message that is in HTML format to a new message that is in Rich Text Format (RTF), you are not able to successfully paste the picture and its file path into the body of the new RTF message.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, use Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
