SYMPTOMS

When you try to add a Dial-Up Networking connection through the properties of a Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail account on a Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 computer, the Install New Modem wizard does not appear and nothing happens.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Dial-Up Networking is not installed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, install Dial-Up Networking. To do this, click My Computer, click Dial-Up Networking, and then click Install.
