OL2002: RTF Message Not Converted to Specified Format If You Include Contact or OLE Object in Message Body (284331)
The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q284331 SYMPTOMS If you include an object in the body of a message, for example an Outlook Contact or an Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) object like a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, the message arrives in Rich Text Format (RTF) although you specify plain text or HTML format.
This occurs when you use a Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3) profile and set Internet Formatting to either the Convert to Plain Text or the Convert to HTML option.
CAUSE
This behavior is by design. The object could be lost when the message is converted. If you send the same message without the object, it arrives in the format you specify.
