OL2002: You Cannot Mark Multiple Headers for Download With the 'Mark to Download Message' Option (284327)

SYMPTOMS

If you highlight multiple message headers, and then right-click, the Mark to Download Messages option may not be available.

This behavior can occurs if the following circumstances are true:

You have a Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3) account.
Your account is set to the Download item description only option. To do this, on the Tools menu, point to Send/Receive Setting, and then click Define Send/Receive Groups.

This behavior is by design.

Use the following steps to resolve the behavior so that you can mark multiple headers for download:

Highlight the headers to download.
On the Tools menu, point to Send/Receive, point to Work With Headers, point to Mark/Unmark Messages, and then click Mark to Download Message.

This behavior does not occur with Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) accounts.
