OL2000: Some Exchange Folders Do Not Display When You Switch from CW to IMO (284238)

SYMPTOMS

When you switch from the Corporate Workgroup (CW) installation of Outlook 2000 to Internet Mail Only (IMO), the folders that you created in your Microsoft Exchange Server account are not transferred to your new Internet Mail Access Protocol (IMAP) account.

To view the folders that you created in your Exchange Server account, subscribe to the folder on your IMAP account. To do this:
  1. On the Tools menu, click IMAP Folders.
  2. Click Query.
  3. Click the folder that you want to view.
  4. Click Subscribe, and then click Ok.


IMAP is an open Internet standard that allows for both client and server messaging, and it allows you to store information on a server. IMAP is not supported under the Corporate Workgroup (CW) option in Outlook.
