SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to personalize a user who is using Pocket Internet Explorer from a network-connected Pocket PC device, you are unable to enter the device. In addition, the Web page is not formatted correctly, and it is partially unreadable.

CAUSE

In Microsoft Mobile Information Server, the personalization functionality only supports the following browsers:
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or later
  • Netscape Navigator 4.71 or later

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Mobile Information Server 2001, Version 1.0.
