Workgroups Missing from Network Neighborhood with Multiple Protocols Installed on Windows Me (284084)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition
This article was previously published under Q284084 SYMPTOMS
If you have multiple network protocols installed on a computer that is running Windows Millennium Edition (Me), you may not see any of the workgroups or computers for one of the protocols in Network Neighborhood.
CAUSE
This problem can occur because Windows Me attempts to contact the master browser for the workgroup over one protocol, instead of attempting to contact the master browser over both protocols.
Note that this problem does not occur on computers that are running versions of Windows earlier than Windows Me.
