Search Is Unable to Follow Redirects that Use the <body onLoad> Command (284014)

In SharePoint Portal Server, you can create a Web content source for a Web site and create a site path rule for the URL (for example, http://www.microsoft.com/*) to enable complex links. However, when you perform an update, only the content on the Start page of the Web site may indexed. When you click the content source in the content sources folder, error messages or rule exclusions may not be reported.
CAUSE
This problem can occur because the Web site's home page redirects to another page by using the <body onLoad> command. For example, if the home page is default.htm and default.htm contains the following the following command, search is not able to follow this redirect command:
<body onLoad="this.location.href='/server/default_main'">
