The Microsoft Exchange Key Management Service (KMS) may not start and an event ID 5015 error may occur. The following messages may be logged in the Application event log:

CAUSE
This issue can occur if the mailbox store that the system attendant mailbox is located in is not mounted.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, mount the mailbox store or create a mailbox store if one does not exist.
