Authentication Redirects to Error.asp Do Not Contain Content-Length Headers (283690)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Commerce Server 2000
This article was previously published under Q283690 SYMPTOMS
When you use the Commerce Server Authentication Filter in Windows Authentication mode, and you try to access a page for which you do not have the necessary NTFS file system permissions, you may not be able to access the site. The Authentication filter issues a redirect to Error.asp and passes in the 401.3 query string. The redirect does not contain a Content-Length header, so Microsoft Internet Explorer cannot contact the Web server.
If you have modified Error.asp to perform a further Response.Redirect, you may receive the following error message in the browser window:
Error:Access is Denied
CAUSE
The 302 response from the server does not have a Content-Length header.
