If you have a Compaq Armada 7800 laptop that is running Windows XP, and you disconnect the power cord when the operating system is on, the computer may shut down unexpectedly even though the battery is fully charged.
CAUSE
This problem occurs due to a hardware problem or possibly the firmware. In rare instance it may indicate that the computer has a faulty or expired battery.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, contact Compaq for more information about an updated Softpaq or Rompaq that is specific to the unit that you are using.
