Microsoft Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if more than 65,530 cells are marked with a smart tag. Microsoft Excel is limited to 65,530 smart tags per worksheet.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, separate the data that you want to recognize into multiple sheets, each of which contains no more than 65,530 recognizable terms per sheet.

MORE INFORMATION

A term is any piece of data that one of the installed smart tag recognizers can recognize. To view a list of these recognizers, click Autocorrect Options on the Tools menu, and then click the Smart Tags tab.

If you have more than 65,530 terms on a worksheet and you click Check Workbook on the Smart Tags tab, some terms are not marked.
